Our Facility contains six temperature and humidity controlled zones to keep our products at their optimum freshness. Shipping and receiving is performed 100% under refrigeration to further resist bacterial growth and premature spoilage. Our products are inspected an average of six times before delivery to our customers. Less than 0.005% of our products are returned due to quality.
The Native Maine Produce Food Safety Officers meet regularly to discuss, review and implement new policies and procedures to maintain our commitment to food safety and quality. The NMP Food Safety Officers are JJ Mokarzel, Sean Ryan, Seth Wilson and Michael Posey. The NMP Advisory Board is also involved in food safety policy and safe handling procedures.
Native Maine is a fully licensed and insured company with established policies (based on HACCP guidelines) and procedures for any and all circumstances including: Allergen Control, Bio-terrorism and Natural Disaster Policies, Product Recall Procedures, Safe Handling and Cross Contaminate Procedures, Proper Cleaning and Maintenance Procedures, etc.
